Hello,
I just had a small question concerning the Antiquos Ancestory, as it's said they are more likely to worship and pray to long dead emperors and ancestors than they are to modern religions. Are there any notable names that would be apart of their cultural history, even though such a long time has passed? At that as well, as players are we allowed to make up names that our characters may believe were real figures and that we have lineage to? Even if they are completely false.
Thanks, AusGre

The names of Ancient Elves and whatnot are mostly lost to the eons of history, however there would be a variety of more recent Elven ancestors who lived in the past 1-3 thousand years who would be known. These might range from some Antiquos that maybe led a group of pilgrims/immigrants through a great sandstorm, or maybe a great leader that was once in charge of Solateum or Astrum and led the city through a bad famine or a plague. That sort of stuff isn't written up because it's such a huge span of time that it really has no bearing on the modern setting, so you can feel free to make up some names and whatnot to help your RP along, just don't go crazy and be like, "I am the direct descendant of the GRAND WIZARD Al-Shazam and his spirit ghost speaks to me!" or something silly like that.

Being descended from Shaq is cool though

Wouldn't every elf be able to claim ridunkulous ancestry though, much like the whole Vaguely European = Charlemagne thing. The maths would mean every elf alive can claim to be a descendant of an emperor alive a few thousand years ago.
Wouldn't it be better to allow people to claim that sort of ancestry, but encourage everyone to treat them as the mentally unstable delusionists they clearly.
Claiming his spirit guides you? Wonderful, come stay in our lovely hotel with people who think they're Napoleon or Cleopatra. Don't mind the strange looking bathrobe's.

There's no rule saying you can't treat them as probably being full of it... merely that if you want to play one, you can. If we didn't want players to play them we wouldn't have listed them as a playable elf variant.

For instance, my elf is a domus divini from a (according to her) recognized family, but she realizes that means very little in Calidor and even to many elves that live there. Of course, you could also play a character who's really "full of it" and claim how your blood should matter in this shit-hole of a city.
