Hey guys, so two things:
1- Just wanted to make sure all the Chesterfield character players have forum accounts. Don't PM me, just make sure amongst yourselves that everyone actually knows about the forums and has looked at them.
2- The new members from last night: things happened in the same way, the only retcon is that that one NPC you all met in the Pipe is getting tweaked to an original one that I'll be adding in, since I liked him. Might actually change him into a her, but if you're gonna RP and mention him/her, just refer to them as "the Shark" for now.
Otherwise, we probably will be taking a similar approach to what Poch is doing with the Coppers in terms of people pairing or tripling up on cases, but we'll play it by ear and figure things out. Because of opening week plot stuff, the main story took up the bulk of a lot of Chester stuff thus far, but that's not going to always be the status quo, and I plan to have various cases and jobs ongoing... the main thing I'll need OOCly from you guys is an idea of what sorts of jobs your PC will do, since there's a lot of variation and some jobs may not be for some characters, so planning around that will be important.
For those in last night's case, that was more representative of the style, though expect more multi part cases and jobs. There may even be some monster hunting contracts, so anything is possible!
The one thing I want to really drive home, and FallenSuns and HarrySwag were both great sports about it last night, is that not every Chester will be on every job. NWN2 has its limitations and for some things you really don't want more than 3-4 people because then it becomes huge and messy and not everyone gets to play a part. I would rather run lots of events for smaller groups than a handful of big events because I think the quality of the experience for you, the player, is vastly superior when it's a small team rather than a huge crowd of PCs. I am keeping track of who is in what, and will try my best to make sure everyone gets enough DM loving to go around, but a key part of that is for you guys, like last night, to be cool with having to sit something out every once in awhile so some other Chesters can have a go. That sort of teamwork and unselfish play is key to a faction like this running smoothly and everyone having a good, fulfilling time.
Thus far I've been super impressed by the players we have, and nobody is falling into the usual attention whore/grandstanding trap, so keep it up!
See you all in-game!
