Currently there is no notification that the lever was used. Having the entity/object say *Click*, or "The Lever falls into place with a heavy thud." would give confirmation to the party that someone used the object. Giving them unique names depending on their location would also help

This applies to the Labrynth puzzles as well.
They have no feedback other than an animation, which provides next to no context or confirmation that the lever has been activated or not.

I've tried to avoid doing this by keeping lever mechanics fairly consistent. Levers that pull and go back to their starting position can be pulled as many times as you want without changing what happened on the first pull. Ones that snap back and forth between positions toggle something and you can tell whether you've used it an even or odd number of times by looking at the model.
Any other reason you'd want to have text feedback?
