As noted in the title, I have observed that selecting a Scale Type is required to produce any form of Torso Armor. At the same time, it also increases the cost by about 30% for adding a scale type.
This strikes me as somewhat misleading, as it is akin to saying that a car is worth 10,000 bucks, but you need a chassis as an add-on that costs an extra 3000 because you chose the color.
I would propose that the cost for adding a scale-type be removed, and/or the price for the armor itself be adjusted as required.
For comparison, a completely unmodified heavy Dragonhide is about 50% more expensive than a set of adamantine fullplate, while a set with scales selected is almost twice the cost. Looking at rank 67, the Ada Fullplate is around 12,000; the unmodified Heavy D-Hide is 17,800; and the Scaled Heavy D-Hide is 22,700. I mention this as it seems excessive for a production-limited item, and may have come about if required cost multipliers had not been calculated into the minimum cost.
