I discussed this on Discord last week, but I would like to suggest including a ballista or cannon on the Pirate-Cove Ship-Segment.
My thinking is that providing a single slow-fire high damage weapon would allow a melee character who is untrained in ranged combat to meaningfully contribute to fighting un-pathable opponents without being a detriment.
