This sunday at <sometime EST afternoon>, I'll be running the Poindelance finale. Prepare your characters for difficult fights and non-stop carnage.
Standard event rules apply, summed up here just in case:
- Always speak in /party chat when the event starts, unless you're deliberately trying to be sneaky.
- If you need an NPC to respond to you specifically send me a tell, same if you think I've missed a line somewhere.
- If I mention a skill in chat or in PM like "Demolitions" it's a sign for you to PM me your stats and any potion/gear enhancements you have active on your character relating to the skill in question. If you don't PM me within a reasonable timeframe (30 or so seconds) I'll assume your character wasn't paying attention and skip your chance to respond.
- OOC chatter to a bare minimum (preferably not at all).
- Often I will reply the outcome of your skill/stat check in a PM. You can react to it in character or keep the info to yourself.
Event specific rules:
- There'll be a lot of combat (it's a combat plotline after all), with little to no resting. Make sure you're properly supplied.
- Sometimes I'll pause the game: this will allow for pcs to PM me specific actions which will allow them to influence the battlefield one way or the other, such as throwing an extra grenade or specifically taking the time to try and flee from your current attacker and reposition somewhere safe.
- If all PCs get downed during the combat event, the group'll be considered to be routed the first time. The second time time it happens you can expect a more drastic outcome.
If you're a new player and want to get in on this, send me a PM on the forums or over discord. Same applies if you've been involved with the plotline before, but managed to forget what it was all about (which is understandable, considering the time between the upcoming finale and the last event I ran).
