The Head/Blade slot on the throwing weapons is currently without modifications.
Ideas that came up for them include mercurial core, something to give a +1ab, gyroscopes for hammers, maybe a enable sonic reverbrator for hammers? Some attachment that supplies a ranged-cleave effect, as the weapon would bounce around for axes/hammers.

Saw yank-sting mentioned too. Dunno how feasible it is, but it's function would be to let something hit, like a hammer, then yank the string so you get it back (on a % basis) then toss it again. Would probably be difficult to script it actually going back into the stack equiped though.

My earlier post got eaten my my phone browser.
I was thinking the Gyroscopic Stabilizer would boost accuracy somehow at the cost of being more predictable and easier to block or dodge because the trajectory is straighter.
The Rectactable Guywire could either give a chance on throw to return an ammo to the stack carried, or add one to the stored value of the master item, letting you re-equip after the stack is gone and get a few shots. The latter would be more reasonable with elemental boosts I think, for no extra elemental ammo or needing to deal with itemreffs the same.
(Hammer) Bola: Thanks to a spring loaded cable connecting the head to the haft, when thrown this hammer spins apart from centripital force. The cable and weighted sections can wrap around limbs and weapons, potentially hampering or tripping foes.(chance of entangle or knockdown)
(Axe) Bouncing Blade: By a careful choice of weighting and shaping, this blade will ricochete in unextected directions if it fails to find purchase. (If damage is completely absorbed by armor, get a free attack at a penalty against another charachter close to the target?)
(Stars) Bleeder: Beyond common Stars, ninjas have employed more potent edges that ensured even the survivor of an assassination would fall quickly from bloodloss. These weapons carries thin channels designed to make wicked wounds that hemmorage easily. (Precision or wounding damage bonus)

All good suggestions - for fun if it were possible putting the chain-blade like mod on throwing weapons would be hilarious.

Mercurial Core.
Magnetic Attractor.
Juggler's Head - speed balanced, bonus attack at reduced AB

Bumping - It's just really odd that there are no attachments for the head, but there is a crafting spot for it.

I would like to revive this old topic from last year: we still have a crafting slot with no mods for it.
If anyone has any other ideas, please expand this list of possibilities. Keep in mind that the open mod-slot on thrown items is a passive-only slot, though more active mods for thrown weapons would probably also be good.

Bump for this.
I suspect the pure +1AB is too significant. Not too much gives +1 AB except mithral on EoA.
You could do some similar effects to some of the gun mods such as barrel mods. For example compensator (+AB vs - dmg), etc. Adds weight too.
And so on. Just call it something different, possibly tweak the effects slightly: ____________________________________________________________ (compensator ~ leather handles for better manipulation of the bundle. +1 AB/-4 dmg/ extra weight) RE: -4 dmg = I think there would need to be extra negatives for this +1 AB, as metals can be applied to TW and the synergy must be considered.
(extended barrel ~ balancing fins for +1 dmg and extra weight) (silencer ~quieting tech for +1 sneak and maybe some weight)
etc, etc ___________________________________________________________
*Since TW are pretty light compared to guns and profit from special metals, I'd think that one of the ways to offset too much advantage would be fairly high % increases to weight for the effect added.
[Barrel mods crossover could make sense, but rail and sight mods don't make sense on TW, imho.]

Compensator and extended barrel already replicate materials (mithril and carbon steel respectively), and should probably not be looked at for thrown weapons. That would result in issues like shuriken with +2 ab and elemental procs.
My thinking is that thrown weapon passives should be more akin to melee weapon passives than anything affecting a firearm. For example, my above suggection regarding inproved accuracy at the cost of ease of dodging could be implemented at bonus crit chance with an AB penalty - much like how Gyro works on flails.
