I've been looking at wounding caused by creatures and noticed what may be an irregularity.
First though I was wanting to check if the DCs are as expected. For knockdown, it is the creature that rolls against the character's knockdown DC which seems to start at 10, the character getting bonuses to the DC and the creature to the roll. For area resistance, it is the character that rolls against the area attack DC and the roll is 0+character bonuses.
But wounding seems a little more odd. It is rolled like the area resistance, but against vampire spiders it is 5+character bonus against a DC of 18, with sharks it is 0+character bonus against a DC of 18-21. So knockdown seems the easier to control and wounding from sharks is almost unmanageable, then there is maybe inconsistency with the wounding of the spiders.
The issue I am seeing though comes after the wounding is applied. While in block mode, the wounding bites of spiders and sharks can be blocked normally, but while bleeding that sometimes lapses and attacks are not met with block attempts. These are regular attacks with rolls in the combat log, not unblockable abilities like those of the trees.
With the vampire spiders I have not seen more than one block attempt go missing, but with sharks I have seen strings of three or four go consecutively missing. An example of four missing is below;
