Just killed Shelob with a group for the first time. Much better boss fight than the Diver I must admit! Great fun to fight... however...
Loot sucks.
It sucks hard.
15 bucks, a few health potions and a level 10-15 helmet? That was the average loot the group got per person.
With the spider caves currently also not generating much (we found 1 light shield in the detectable loot drops), it does just seem like a huge waste of time.
(with the most recent patch the loot in areas should be fixed now. Will test with some friends if that's the case)
Same can be said about the Diver. Sometimes you get a sword with a cool attachment, but overall that sword isn't really better, since most stats are based on item level milestones (10, 20, 30, etc) and the loot spawns at weird levels, like 17 or something. As well as getting maybe, 10 bucks, you might get a few potions too. Really, it's a little extra cash if you know you won't have any problems fighting the boss, otherwise it's kind of a disappointment.
Suggestion? Uh, just give us more loot for fighting the bosses? That's really all I can say...
Guideline wise. Weapons and armor should be spawning at the milestones (if possible to script that), so that you don't get what I have begun to term "dead levels" on your items.
Bucks? Should at least be making 50 bucks. Especially with the bosses sometimes not spawning due to the frequency people fight them.
And the potion drops? Pretty much worthless since the only useful potion is the recovery potion I've found... this actually might be a point I raise on potion overhauls.
