Will there be more races available to choose from in the future? Maybe orcs or something of the sort?

I feel like the current races themselves could maybe use more fleshing out / detail. Mannerisms, accents, quirks - I'm not entirely sure what, but I don't see too many human PCs playing up the different backgrounds, and some of the cultures are pretty much non-existent on the server. Of course, part of that may very well be due to people not really reading the race descriptions / making using the different cultural backgrounds.

Um, I'm not sure if this is just a case of ignorance of the thread or a slap in YMD's face, but I'll assume it's the former. engines.freeforums.net/thread/30/racesThere is a LOT written about all of the races, though gauging from the RP I'd guess most people haven't read that thread since very few people have taken the naming guidelines (lot of elves with FR names) and some things, like how most city elves are small and sickly, isn't RPed.

Yeah, few people are gonna RP being malnourished and poor and shitty. . We can be that in real life, most people are trying for some measure of power and authority in RP

I've seen that, thanks, and no, it's not a slap in YMD's face and that's a pretty odd dichotomy there. The provided material is certainly useful and well written, but at the same time, more lore is always nice to have before throwing in new races.

This is true, but no, there are no current plans to add anymore races. These are literally all of the races that exist in this setting. The Orcs are extinct, and halflings don't exist, nor do any of the other weird sentients in D&D. Or well, they MAY exist in some form, and may or may not be sentient. They will not be playable, however.

To expand a little on races.
- No subraces. Races don't have stats, all viable appearances and backgrounds are rolled in to a single entry. - No half races. While combinations of human/dwarf/elf are possible (but not advised) we aren't going to make a solitary exception for half elves. - Halflings don't exist in the setting. We may use some of their models for children but children are not allowable PCs. - No planetouched in the setting. Just doesn't fit. - Orcs exist, but half orcs are not a playable race because orcs and elf-derived races cannot reproduce. Orcs were also subjected to genocide, any remaining ones would be rare and not playable. - Other sentient beings might exist somewhere but none are known of at this time. Monster races won't be playable.

I've got the rest of the religious texts written, and a good amount of books (15-16?). Mostly just waiting for the library to be put in + getting book UI to work.
