I am curious to know how many different skills people plan on investing in over the long run. This is in relation to a post by PE which suggests that you need to level 8 skills to 100 in order to get 50 ability points. I wonder how many of these will be 'empty skills' that have no ability investments.

I have feats in Heavy Armor, 2-Handed, Detect, Hunting, Blacksmithing, and First Aid. Then I have 4 sitting in Endurance because being able to run away in a dungeon after getting some loot is fucking invaluable.

Being the weird and extreme outlier, i aught to explain: James has investments in no weapons or armor other than Demo, all the ability investments he can make in Mercantilism, every craft save alchemy, a bit in first-aid to make xp practical, and 3 endurance investments.
Of all my investments, only 2 out of 8 skills have more than one potential skill tree to invest in.
Also, as noted, XP from quests, bosses, and post-100-skill-ranks are not accounted for.
Yes, you entirely *can* get all 75 ability points ranking up 3 skills through enough post-100 leveling. I just doubt it to be practical even by stretches of the imagination..

Five skills: Detect, First Aid, Marksmanship, Medium Armor, Alchemy - and the untyped Endurance.
Two medic abilities at 4, one at 3, Endurance at 4, both Marksmanship passives 3, armor at 3 and 2.
