Folks: Kitara, Asenat, Allison
Notes: 1: Made it to the basement through a combination of choke points and more grenades than some towns have people.
2: Got clobbered in the basement by the third or so spawn (the one on the second 'level' after you cross the flooded passage and go down the stairs) due to mutants spamming knockdown. This includes v. Kitara who apparently couldn't pass a single knockdown resistance attempt despite having what should be good KD resistance (16). Allison got caught on the stairs back up for about 12 seconds without being able to get up and got trounced without ever being able to reach the door 2 feet away. I'd expect this to happen since she wears leather but sheesh.
3: This is combined with the lunatic's propensity for fire which makes us burn and the mutants just beat the snot out of us even more.
Suggestions: Maybe ease up on the KD a bit? Either it occurs less often or tweak it so that it actually possible to resist it?
Addendum: Asenat and Allison are right in Wyler's level range (40s).

To clarify, the Mutants only have +1 to knockdown, but dear god does it seem to always succeed with the failures occurring after I'm already on the ground. If this was at least a used ability rather than an auto with their normal attacks this might solve the raw "once you're down you're out" that we've experienced the last three trips into Wyler. another option I guess might be to give them a negative knockdown modifier so that it is less effective desptie spammy.
I do stand by my previous suggestion that knockdown, aoe, and wounding resistance should progress every 20 character levels for reasons like this though.

Are you seeing KD checks while down? I have something that checks for that and is supposed to prevent it.

Definitely while down, but it may be that we're down then getting back up when the next one fires before the animation to get up rolls around.

I'll make a couple tweaks to the mutants next update, see if they can ease off a bit on chained knockdowns.
