I tried the mod for a bit and found it rather lacking on damage; perhaps I've used it badly. I think it needs a slight boost to be competitive with other same slot possibilities.
Pros: ignores armor and auto-hit, line effect up to certain distance. Physical damage.
Cons: 1-20 base dmg window(10.5 average), +1dmg/10 lvls, 8 batteries per shot, takes full action (uses all APR)
The Case: Personally I think boosting the progression from 1/10 to 1/5 is appropriate.
Qualifiers: high APR guns do better with small % tesla or forward grip, low rpm usually can take advantage of 1/20 -1/10 big crits with usually pretty good scaling overall dmg with forward or tesla.
Competitors: Flamethrower 5-15 + 1/5 Forward grip +1 damage every shot Bayonet for stabby stabby Tesla for % elec on every shot ammo clip _________________________
