Can we add this mod to the list for Maces? It'll give you a choice between going Mace for Impact Orb vs Morningstar for Gyroscope.

Three things with this.
1. It's a hammer thing, which make the 2H hammer desirable.
3. Imho it wouldn't reduce choice, as it would likely make the only two desirable mods for that slot on mace either impact orb or the current meta of counterweight.
3. knockdown attempt on crit, passive and no downside. <- the third and most compelling.

1.) That's 2 things.
2.) 2 comes after 1.
3.) So... having an extra choice, is worse than opting directly for counterweight?
4.) Its called Impact Orb, seems kind of funny that the orb on a stick doesn't get it.

Maces are for crushing, not knocking people down. There is already a 1h weapon that can use this mod, so... just use that?
EDIT: Particularly when you can dual wield maces with no penalty.

Looking at this more I'll stand by the original suggestion. Maces and Morningstars are small weapons, and morning stars get gyroscopes like flails. The morningstar essentially functions as a small flail with its possible mod load outs. I think having the mace have the selections of a small hammer would be appropriate as it already shares the hammer's critical-hit attributes, the same way the morningstar shares the flail's attributes. Just sort of its in there nicely. As far duel weilding maces.. you'd be better to use a hammer in the main hand, and doing so to get 2 impact orbs also means no counter-weight.
