A wyvern that is killed as it is flying away will leave an invisible "corpse" that is impossible to interact with without the Client Extension.

Going to add a bit to the script that unhides it if this happens. Can you also expand on what caused the wyvern to die in the air?

I've had wyverns die in the air from pooled damage such as fire or bleed.

Pool damage as EH said, or sometimes an attack landing at the right time. I believe the second circumstance led to the issue I reported.

Repeating Trigger can be one such, where a flying creature will take the damage from the queued up attacks after taking off.

This happened again with the sea wyvern spawn on the boat. In this particular case the wyvern attacked me while it was taking off, and I countered and killed it as the "flying away" animation was playing. The model that stayed at the ground disappeared, requiring me to use the Client Extension to access the corpse.
