It's really, really bad, weaker then it's previous tier (Tarantula, who's already the weakest seeming animal in it's tier) in almost all ways. It has less damage, trades 3 dodge for 3 armor, looses 2 block and ALL of it's stealth and costs 5 more stamina in exchange for... 15 more hit points, which isn't really that much by this level.

Closest comparison I've been able to find in stats is the Wolverine. Note that Wolverine is a rank 30 animal while Adder is a rank 60.
The only thing Adder has over the Wolverine is +1 min damage. In exchange it loses 3 block, 2 armor, 5 hit points and costs an additional 10 stamina.

I'll probably add an extra point of dodge but it won't really be on par with other options until the on hit poison stuff is done (hopefully not too long).

A little stealth too? It's not super impactful, but it does feel weird that a snake is completely unable to hide.

Testing this with the new poison (both on an NPC that was just standing there and in real-combat scenarios), here's my conclusion :
The poison is cool, but ultimately has very little impact on the pet's power. While the poison is quite potent when it reaches the "damage" stage, in real combat, with a pet who only hits once per round at moderate damage at best, and can easily be knocked unconscious (less hit points then a PC, and the small hitbox means it attracts a lot of aggro) you will never, ever reach the point where the poison does damage. Even the debuff will only rarely come into effect, either the pet or the target dying before the penalty is applied. In fact, during my initial tests I was specifically looking at AB and, for the 4 encounters which I checked my combat log, not once did I even notice the debuff. I only figured out what it was from OOC tests with an immobile NPC.
Note that this is just a commentary on the Adder's use of the poison. When used on a PC's weapon who might be landing 2-3 hits per round consistently, the poison is probably a lot more useful.

That's a good point, the system was designed with PC attacks in mind. I'll up the potency on the adder's to compensate.

Cool. I'm not sure where NPC adders should sit, they have more attacks and HP then pets, and can spawn in numbers, but probably can't use it juuuust quite as efficiently as a well-tuned PC can?

That'll be accounted for as well.
