I've noticed recently that I've been getting nodes with no loot - not even placeholder or trash loot, and no text. It occurred three times today, and I've seen it about once a dungeon for the past couple weeks (so about 3/4 dungeons), and briefly a month or two ago. Symptom is that the node has no loot in it. When clicked a second time, no loot appears, and a message pops up saying that it has already been emptied. I've seen this in Spiders, Gnomes, Croc-Sewers, and Labyrinth that I can recall, so it does not seem to be a specific location issue. It is possible that it might be a side-effect of server up-time, but I cannot easily validate that. I have attacked screenshots of my looting an empty node, and that same node a moment later when I get the empty message. If I had looted anything, normally I expect to see it show up as a combat log message, which is clearly missing. Attachments:

I've seen this a bit, so it's not new. Maybe ...1 every 50+ nodes chance? (it's fairly rare).
It is disappointing when it does occur, though.
(I just assumed that one of the possible loot options was "empty")
But if this occurs to all in a party at the same node, that would indicate a bug.

My assumption was that placeholder or trash loot* was intended to ensure that a looted node always had something in it, and that the combat text was intended to inform a player that the node was on cooldown. My expectation, then, is that loot nodes that are completely empty are a bug, or at least a sign of the loot generation system being out of whack somewhere.
I have not heard of other party members finding empty nodes at the same time I do.

Kit, you probably missed my reply, when you inquired about this, but I also found three empty nodes during that run.. I'd not be surprised if they were the same

This is most likely caused by some endpoint of the loot code not producing any items. Unintended but also very hard to debug. Not sure what approach I'll take yet but it may involve putting some debug text back in the loot generator.
