So, it can be hard to eyeball a blue bar increasing gradually, but if there was a number somewhere you could see, it'd make telling if you are bugged easier

I agree. Something like 20.1%, then it increases to 20.2% after a while.

I was going to suggest this myself, although I'd have wanted a more detailed show like with the experience bar, but percantage would also be fine.
