With official launch coming up, I was wondering if the staff have considered allowing volunteer DMs similar to what Sigil does? Basically mini-DMs with restrictions on how much power they can wield on the client, but freedom to run small(er) events. It seems to have worked well for their player retention, and might help EoA with the DM burnout -> player inactivity spiral that seems to kill off every new RP server within two or three months.
I think full time staff positions are inherently stressful and not fun for most people, especially when they have to give up their player characters to do it. Maybe this could offer a middle ground that takes some of the pressure off.

That sounds like a really good idea. DM burnout from major plotlines is real and it'd certainly be nice to have people capable of running smaller events more regularly.
We'd need to get set up with a new DM guide and some rules on loot/XP rewards but that's a small price to pay if it means more people willing to give DMing a try.

I am back and finally (semi) moved into my new place. Just setup my PC today, so hopefully will be able to run stuff from here out. Will have to reacclimate and see which PCs involved in my plots and such are still around.
