Essentially, either some small, subtle visual effect on the PC to indicate various conditions - for example, if you are "still" for the purposes of forward grips and compensators - or the use of buff icons for the same. Right now there is no way to be certain except to check the character sheet.

Won't use VFX but I could try something in the UI. Anything other than movement status you're interested in?

Well, I don't mean VFX on the actual character, but by the portrait, that does a tiny summary of the effects (as per default behavior).
But really, anything that lets us know when we're knocked down, stunned, incapacitated in another way, when we have "still" for items and firing, or movement in the last recent time, or a movement speed increase from certain abilities - just quality of life improvements really.
